About Me

Hi, I’m Matt Daugherty, grease-stained gearhead, and the guy behind most of what you’ll read here on Car–Reviews.

Cars have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up elbow-deep in oil changes and engine rebuilds in my dad’s garage, and let’s just say, I never really grew out of it.

It doesn’t matter if it’s tearing through mud in a lifted Tacoma, wringing out a track-tuned coupe, or tweaking suspension setups for better trail flex—if it moves, I’m interested.

Car–Reviews was built for people like me: folks who care less about glossy brochures and more about how a vehicle actually performs in the wild. I write with a wrench in one hand and a keyboard in the other, giving you honest reviews, no-nonsense breakdowns, and the kind of insight that only comes from getting dirty under the hood.

You’ll find coverage of everything from off-road beasts and daily drivers to race-ready machines and underrated sleepers. I talk mods, upgrades, reliability, and what truly matters behind the wheel—not just what’s trending.

Thanks for stopping by. If you love cars that do more than sit pretty in a showroom, you’re in the right place.

—Matt
